vital link between the sponsor and the core APL team in Maryland?

Multi-Domain System Concepts Group! We are seeking an outgoing
technical engineer with proven analytic and simulation abilities,
skilled at sponsor interaction and communication of technical
information, to serve as a technical spokesperson and advocate for
APL onsite at the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) /
Missile Warning Tracking Defense Division (MWTD). You will help us
develop the next generation of solutions to our nation's most
complicated missile defense problems. As an on-site Missile Defense
Systems Modeling and Analysis Engineer, you will Provide direct
technical support and guidance to SWAC sponsors and the APL core
team Assimilate information from meetings with numerous US
government sponsors, contractors, and industry Maintain daily
communication with APL's SWAC MWTD core team, providing insights
gained from meetings and sponsor discussions Utilize and develop
APL models to perform assessments of future systems concepts and
identify opportunities for optimization or improvement Develop and
deliver presentations to effectively communicate technical
recommendations to the SWAC sponsor, APL leadership, and the
broader community Special Working Conditions: In addition to
working on-site in Colorado Springs, CO, the position requires
periodic travel to JHU/APL Laurel, MD. Visits to other facilities,
research institutions and test venues may also be required. Normal
work location is within a government closed area. Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Have a
Bachelor's in engineering, physics, mathematics, or relevant
technical field Have at least 3 or more years of experience in a
professional engineering setting with Defense focus Have
proficiency using MATLAB to conduct modeling and simulation,
perform analysis, and create visualizations Have shown the ability
to interact effectively with sponsors and technical teams Have
demonstrated initiative and ability to adapt in a fast-paced
environment Have demonstrated excellent written and verbal
communication skills Hold an active Top Secret security clearance
and can ultimately obtain TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you
will be subject to a government security clearanc e investigation
and must meet the requirements for access to classified
information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You
'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you Possess a
M.S. or PhD in engineering, mathematics, physics, or relevant
technical field Have 5 or more years of experience with Defense
focus Have specific domain knowledge of US Space Force systems,
sensors, communications, battle managers, and kinetic and
non-kinetic effectors Have proven experience in conducting and
leading complex, multi-disciplinary analyses Hold an active TS/SCI

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at
the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors
such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions,
education/training and skill level with consideration for internal
parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours
per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of
hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation
per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional
compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus,
relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments
for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a
comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid

are accepted on a rolling basis. Minimum Rate $85,000 Annually
Maximum Rate $195,000 Annually
