JOB SUMMARY
This individual will play a critical role in troubleshooting and maintaining the electrical power and control systems, drives, and motors of production equipment. Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC-based hardware and software. Additionally, this individual will document the systems of existing equipment, and design and install upgrades to electrical and controls systems in support of equipment reliability. The position is hands-on and will also involve the training and development of maintenance technicians & electricians to strengthen the team's knowledge and ability to repair equipment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics for existing and new equipment, assuring compliance with applicable codes and manufacturing best practices using CAD
• Design new, and modify existing, electrical controls systems for production equipment including physical equipment and programming
• Experienced in troubleshooting of PLC controllers and VFDs
• Capable of working with 480v and lower-voltage systems
• Knowledge of robotic and automated production processes
• Demonstrate understanding of proper safety practices as it relates to performing work on electrical equipment (LOTO & arc-flash)
• Evaluate existing equipment and propose solutions for increasing electrical system reliability
• Proficiency with industrial communication protocols for automation and data collection Requirements
  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Associates of Bachelor's degree in related field BENEFITS
