      • Assist Product Designers in creating an LOD 400 model in alignment with project engineering specifications & best practices.
      • Assist Product Designers in creating LOD 400 fabrication-level drawings in alignment with RKMC & ASME drawing standards for fabrication & assembly.
      • Works directly with Engineering Manager to ensure proper modeling, drawing, and engineering design best practices are followed.
      • Develop a detailed bill of materials in coordination with Product Designer efforts and engineering/customer requirements.
      • Inform Designers of project development and product-specific documentation created for production that align with quality, performance, and retention requirements.
      • Collaborate with subject matter experts to approve submittals for engineered items and develop engineering direction for design/manufacturing.
      • Uphold RK Mission Critical documentation and design & development standards and practices as well as product/customer specifications.
      • Work with Manufacturing Engineers, as needed, to investigate design changes to produce Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to the RKMC team to ensure training and communication.
      • Ensure all flow-down requirements from the project are met by vendors/sub-contracts.
      • Actively participate in drawing reviews for input of manufacturability. Coordinate feedback with Production.
      • Propose and execute continuous improvement projects to increase workflow efficiency.
        • Review shop operations for opportunities to simplify workflow and material handling.
        • SME for product design of RK Mission Critical products.
        • Assist designers in product modelling & drawing while maintaining RKMC Engineering standards.
        • Communicates RFIs, approves design and scope changes.

RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10. Minimum Physical Requirements:
            • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
            • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
            • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
            • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
