Job Description:

The Structural Engineer will support the project team by leading
design aspects of the project and will address engineering issues
for various projects. In this full-time role, an employee will be
expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency in regards to the
essential functions of the job found below Responsibilities
EDUCATION Bachelor---s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master---s
preferred in Structural or Civil Engineering. ------ Requirements
Five to Eight (5-8) plus years of experience in structural analysis
and design of steel and concrete foundations and platforms for
solar PV systems (racking and tracking structures), electrical and
mechanical equipment, and miscellaneous structures for
utility-scale solar projects. Experience preferred in structural
analysis and design of structures for substation and T-line
projects. Experience in STAAD.Pro, ROBOT, L-PILE, or equivalent
software. Experience preferred in PLS-POLE, PLS-CADD, FAD TOOLS, or
equivalent software. Registration as a PE or SE preferred.
Qualifications Direct project team on various assignments as
directed by the Project Manager, providing technical training and
guidance. Work with project team members and clients to prepare
projects and proposals. Draft, review, and finalize preliminary and
final site plans, documents, and computations including, but not
limited to: preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations for
the approval of the Project Manager concerning the direction of the
project; due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer---s opinion
of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, local
and state permit applications. Complete edits and modify plans as
reviewed by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed.
Research local/state requirements as directed on properties and
projects for zoning. Complete site visits and field assignments as
required. Review project survey data to analyze existing site
conditions and factors to consider for development such as: legal
descriptions, ALTA surveys, and easement documents. Utilize AutoCAD
Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete
assignments on time and within prescribed standards as outlined in
the Atwell Product Quality Manual. Respond to review letters and
modify plans from agencies, municipalities, and clients as
directed. Initiate communication with clients, municipalities, and
agencies as the project requires in coordination with the Project
Manager. Communicate with Project Manager and Team Leader on
workload status. Expected to apply fundamental engineering concepts
and good engineering practice to practical situations. Workload
management skills.
