This role offers an opportunity to support K-12 students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment located in Aurora, CO. The position is a contract lasting through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of May 22, 2026. Key Responsibilities: - Provide classroom assistance to students under the guidance of certified teachers - Support students with significant and severe needs where applicable - Assist with toileting and diapering for students requiring personal care - Adapt to various school settings and age groups, including middle and high school assignments - Comply with all district policies, including immediate fingerprinting after offer acceptance - Report to assigned school sites punctually, with start times between 7:40 AM and 8:00 AM depending on grade level Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum of one year experience working in school classrooms - Strong preference for candidates with experience supporting significant or severe caseloads - Reliable transportation is mandatory; public transit options such as bus, Uber, or taxi are not considered reliable - Ability to demonstrate flexibility, including potential reassignment to different school sites and student age groups as needed - Must pass background screening with no felony or misdemeanor convictions - Candidates must provide two completed Professional RefAssured references at application; applications without these verified references will not be considered Additional Details: - Candidates must reside locally and be able to commute reliably - Start date is immediate, with ongoing support through the 2025-2026 school year This position is ideal for individuals committed to making a positive impact in educational settings and supporting diverse student populations.
