Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO.The SWORDFISH Program is building a next generation Satellite Situational Awareness (SA) and Command and Control (C2) application. We are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to facilitate the delivery of these Space C2 capabilities to our customers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is eager to learn and leverage new technologies and capable of quickly understanding how the system's services provide the desired capabilities.The candidate will work as part of a small Integration and Test team to integrate the numerous microservices that provide the system capabilities as well as supporting critical customer demonstrations and other key milestones.What you'll do an a day to day basis:Integrate micro-services implemented in JAVA, .NET onto Linux platformsUtilize Docker, Kubernetes and other DevSecOps enabling tools to speed deploymentsPerform system verification and validationModify custom tools and engage in new tool development to increase efficiencyIdentify and document system defectsCommunicate with internal and external I&T teams and government customersSupport I&T events on-site and at remote customer sitesEvaluate, select, roll out and support off-shelf tools to improve developer productivity.Contribute towards team, department and company goals. This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.This requisition may be filled as either a Systems Engineer or a Principal Systems Engineer.Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related engineering experience OR Master's Degree with 0 years of related engineering experience.
    • Experience in Linux/Unix environments at command line interface
    • Familiarity with of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile/Dev*Ops environment
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI (access) security clearance and the ability to gain clearances for Special Access ProgramsBasic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:
      • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related engineering experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of related engineering experience.
      • Experience in Linux/Unix environments at command line interface
      • Familiarity with of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile/Dev*Ops environment
      • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI (access) security clearance and the ability to gain clearances for Special Access ProgramsSalary Range: 77900 - 116900Salary Range 2: 96600 - 14500Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
