The Facility Maintenance Technician at McLane Global is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. This includes work on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing minor leaks. Inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance. Maintain and repair electrical systems, including outlets, fixtures, and wiring, in accordance with safety codes. Service HVAC systems, replace filters, and perform seasonal maintenance. Conduct plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper drainage. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Maintain maintenance logs, records, and inventory of tools and supplies. Assist in coordinating with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Keep all tools and maintenance areas clean, organized, and in good working condition. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus. 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tools and systems. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documents. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require manual labor. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Working Conditions Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends. Exposure to various environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.). Regular use of hand and power tools. Additional physical efforts pertaining to the job.
