Interested in a media internship, but want to do more than coffee runs & lunch orders? Consume is a new video platform that focuses on cannabis education and information for women. As a newly emerging startup, Consume provides a great opportunity for those looking to develop real-world skills in video production and content development through hands-on experience.
We at Consume want to transform the way society, especially women, view cannabis. We will -do so by elevating the brand imagery through video and thoughtful conversations to break the stigma. You will be on the ground floor as we launch and produce our weekly live Vlogcast. In addition, we also will be creating custom original content for external brands as well. -
This Creative Video Intern is responsible for assisting with content development and day-to-day content execution, especially videos for our weekly livestream and social media. You'll be working alongside our team and have access to our Founder who has extensive media in larger markets such as New York and Los Angeles with brands such as Food Network, Yahoo, A&E, Viacom & more.
Key Responsibilities:As the Creative Video Intern, you'll support Consume's creative team with video production, media asset management, editing, social media strategies, and more. This position will contribute to the creative visual content creation and organization for the Consume platform as well as Consume's subsidiaries, internal and external partners. -

• Assisting in filming, setting up equipment and gathering content -
• Helping research, ideate and execute content ideas for Consume LIVE and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube)
• Organize asset management for editors
• Providing photography & videography assistance as needed
• Providing editing & graphics assistance as needed
• Transcribing audio as needed
• Assist in developing graphic content / collateral as needed for brand
• Monitor and report on content performance and make recommendations to expand reach and engagement
• Help team execute creative video projects for external clients -
• Take part in weekly production meetings with team -Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age as you'll be around cannabis products
  • Must be currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's college or university program
  • Technical knowledge of camera and audio equipment
  • Experience with Adobe products (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, InDesign) with a desire to learn more
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Proficient in creating videos for different mediums (Website, broadcast, social media, etc.)
  • Digital asset management skills and organization
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Enthusiasm and possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and follow-through
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in person (either on shoots, or in office) -Interest in the science, culture and business of cannabis is not required, but a plus.
    Commitment: We ask for a 4 month commitment at a minimum of 10 hours x week. We also would like you to be able to make at least one vlogcast filming session per week (Tuesday @ 6:00pm & Thursday at 12:30pm--- subject to change.)
    We have flexibility on start dates, ideally this would run from August to December. Weekly schedule is flexible to accommodate class and work schedules.
    This internship is unpaid and must be able to provide proof that you're currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's program in a related field (marketing, video, communications, media, etc.)
    Minimum Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age due to content being cannabis focused.
