5pmJob OverviewThe Senior Copywriter reports to the Director of
Brand and Creative and works closely with senior leadership, brand
and creative team leaders, Marketing Strategy, internal clients,
medical providers, and others in creating and implementing
comprehensive internal and external communications strategies and
campaigns.With a deep understanding of our mission, vision and
values, this role serves as a partner and advisor to key
stakeholders to achieve positive impact and alignment across our
system of care. This individual has a passion for storytelling and
creating experiences that create excitement, drive engagement,
connect people across the organization and shape our unique
culture.The Senior Copywriter is highly motivated, self-directed,
persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative. Exploring new and
creative ways to reach all of our internal and external audiences
is vital.ResponsibilitiesPOPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
- No direct patient care. Essential FunctionsA team member in
this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following
essential functions. These examples do not include all of the
functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
- Write compelling content, messaging and stories for marketing
communications, in the voice of Children's Colorado, across a wide
range of tones and writing styles including advertising, business,
creative non-fiction, journalism, medical/technical and script
- Write for a variety of audiences including parents, referring
providers, national pediatric specialists, team members and the
general public; in multiple channels including print, video, web,
collateral, etc.
- Conceptualize, plan, and write according to creative or project
brief and/or project specifications
- Collaborate with other team members (strategists, designers,
copywriters, videographers) in developing communication concepts
that reflect the unique position and value of Children's Colorado
to our diverse audience segments
- Conduct project research and interviews to ensure subject
matter understanding
- Cultivate ongoing relationships with executive leaders and
internal clients as a trusted partner and advisor on communication
opportunities and challenges
- Work independently on strategic initiatives, managing multiple
complex projects simultaneously
- Lead presentation of work with all levels of internal
clients
- Follow marketing workflow through from concept to
production/development
- Manage own project workflow while coordinating with project
teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals and
assignments as needed
- Ensure successful representation of the Children's Colorado
brand, voice and values through knowledge of brand standards and
writing best practices
- Ensure creative integration across all marketing functions and
channels
- Supervise and mentor copywriters and junior copywriters
- Demonstrate Children's Colorado's Standards of Behavior in all
interactions: Quality and Safety, Communication, Ownership,
Relationships, Professionalism and Teamwork Financial
Accountability
- Responsible for personal use of resources, supplies and
materials, tracking personal spending and submitting accurate
expense reports
- Ensure assignments can be completed for allocated budget
- Consolidate concepts for presentation
- Work independently; sets priorities for own work within overall
guidelines; manages own workflow in cooperation with others
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in multiple phases,
simultaneously
- Discern whether work is within brand voice and design
guidelines, brand compliance Impact Of Decisions
- Assignments include projects with multiple components requiring
ability to take and discern direction from internal clients and
members of marketing team
- Decisions limited to implementation and completion of
departmental functions, goals and projects
- Interaction with internal clients, agency partners, senior and
executive leadership QualificationsEDUCATION - Bachelor's degree or
equivalent in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English or
related field from an accredited college or university.Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an agency or corporate
environment.
- Experience in writing and concept development, in marketing or
advertising, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and analytically to
develop solutions that meet the goals and vision of Children's
Colorado
- Exceptional portfolio with work examples that showcase relevant
experience, strong conceptual skills and solid execution
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills including
superior writing, grammar, structure, editing and proofreading
- Knowledge of professional writing style such as AP Style
- Professional work ethic; highly organized and dependable; able
to multitask, work quickly and meet multiple deadlines with an
appropriate sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively depending on
the need
- Proficiency with relevant technology and software applications
EQUIVALENCY - Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a
related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a

(Based on 40 hours worked per week): $67,948.52 to
$101,922.79Hourly Salary Range: $32.67 to $49.00Benefits
