for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Business Services
Senior Professional/ Clinical Operations Coordinator position. Jobs
in this career family provide general business operations of the
organization or a combination of operational responsibilities
covering multiple career families. Functions include institutional
research, statistical analysis, policy development and review,
strategic planning, and broad unit business operations such as
parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare
services, real estate and property management, retail services or

performed fully independently. Department Position Description The
Department of Anesthesiology is seeking applicants for a Clinical
Operations Coordinator, hereinafter referred to as "Operations
Coordinator". This full-time, University Staff (Unclassified)
position will work closely with the Adult Clinical Business
Manager, APP Coordinator, Director of Finance and Administration
(DFA), People Operations Director, Adult Clinical Medical
Directors, and other Departmental leadership to support the
operational needs of the over 80 Physicians who support the adult
clinical mission in the Department of Anesthesiology. The
Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and
assisting with the clinical and business activities of the Adult
Physician Teams, ensuring compliance with all internal and external
policies and procedures that govern the Department's efforts. The
Operations Coordinator assists with provider scheduling, fiscal
affairs, human resources, and day-to-day operations in support of
the Department's and School of Medicine's missions and goals
specific to the Physicians. A successful Operations Coordinator
will provide high quality, creative, and solutions-oriented support
to the Adult Physician Teams. The position will be responsible for
having a deep understanding of the operations of the Physician
teams to include scheduling requirements, compensation structure,
financial structures and budgeting, and evaluation structure and
reporting. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator will assist
project teams created specifically for the Adult Physicians, time
management and budgeting, and ensuring delivery of quality
solutions that meet established expectations. To be successful in
this role, the ideal candidate must understand the importance of
grounding their decisions in policy, best practice, and
consistency. While new and creative ideas regarding operations of
the team are encouraged and accepted, those ideas must be rooted in
compliance and equity for all team members. Examples of Work
Performed Work in conjunction with Physician and Department
leadership to execute strategies and processes to drive the
strategic plan and vision of the Adult Physician Teams and ensure
goals, standards, and objectives are in alignment with the
Department's overall strategic plan. Manage scheduling for
Physician Teams, including residents and fellows, in Qgenda which
includes various call and incentivized shifts, and coordinating
requests for FMLA, FTE changes, etc. This is done in conjunction
with Physician and Department leadership to ensure compliance with
scheduling guidelines, Department HR, and University Legal
policies. Assist with the development of administrative policies,
procedures, and guidelines specific to the Adult Physician Teams,
working with the Department's People Operations Director and
Professional Risk Management to ensure compliance In collaboration
with Departmental leadership, assist with compensation and budget
planning and revisions on an annual basis Coordinate with Physician
Leadership regarding the creation and implementation of various
policies, handbooks, guidelines, etc. that will be maintained on
the Department's Intranet. Plan, implement, and execute business,
operational, and clinical projects at the request of Physician and
Departmental leadership; develop a process to track and report on
progress and accomplishments specific to individual
Physician-related projects Serve as work lead for Physician
Team-specific projects; establish work plan responsibilities and
scope of authority for project stakeholders. Execute effective
communications strategies amongst Physician Teams and stakeholders
Coordinate salary allocations that are complex in nature, working
closely with the Department's Payroll Specialist to ensure accuracy
and timeliness of both salary funding distributions, as well as
incentivized shift payments. Work closely with the Administrative
Assistant IIIs for the Physician Teams to ensure all Physician's
administrative needs (i.e., purchasing, reimbursements,
credentialing, etc.) are being met in a timely manner. This

Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in business, business
administration, finance, social sciences, healthcare
administration, public administration, communications, information
systems, or a directly related field from an accredited
institution. Two (2) years of professional level experience
supporting the operations of a program or team. Substitution: A
combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional
experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year
for year basis. Required: Applicants must meet minimum
qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a healthcare clinic or medical field in an
administrative capacity. Experience utilizing and/or managing
complex scheduling systems such as Qgenda. Experience working in
higher education and/or academic medicine and in large settings.
Experience with financial forecasting and/or analysis, budget
analysis, and/or management concepts. Competencies Strong and
effective presentation and communication skills, both oral and
written. Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective
working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the
institution. Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
while effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks. Outstanding
customer service skills. Demonstrated commitment to advance
diversity and inclusion. Proven ability to work with all levels of
staff and leadership Ability to work with a high degree of
independence and latitude Salary and Benefits The salary range (or
hiring range) for this position has been established at $48,137-
$67,391. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will
be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,
internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the
University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of
possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not
