Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Sling Finance team provides strategic decision support to improve the business and drive strategy. The Sling Finance team provides ad-hoc strategic financial analysis, as well as budgeting and reporting support for Sling. The Financial Analyst II is responsible for providing financial support and analysis for Sling strategic projects, ad-hoc requests from business and operational departments, and providing supporting insights and support for budget and planning initiatives. The analyst's role will include subscriber profitability analysis, budgeting and forecasting; long term strategic decision support; special project analysis and business unit finance support; and recommending strategies for improvement.

  • Work closely with all departments including product, operations, marketing, and business development to provide business insights and recommendations on how to improve the financial results of Sling
  • Collaborate with various team members to construct special project financial analysis
  • Develop detailed long-term project forecasts utilizing a bottoms-up approach for a product line
  • Evaluate subscriber facing offers for profitability and financial risks
  • Build and maintain financial models to track and forecast marketing spend and subscriber acquisition effectiveness
  • Interpret financial data and communicate recommendations to department leadership and company executives
  • Collaborate with operating groups to suggest ideas to improve performance for all areas of the company.
  • Develop financial reports to monitor key metrics, interpret financial results, and seek out areas of concern and/or opportunity.

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    • Experience evaluating financials for a subscriber focused business
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint with some knowledge of database basics (e.g. Microsoft Access, SQL) helpful
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with 4+ years of related prior work experience
    • Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials. Experience presenting and working with C-level executives
    • Ability to define problems, seek and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Experience with or ability to work in a fast paced, high throughput environment
      Excellent teamwork skills with ability to establish productive working relationships with other departments and personnel
    • Excellent organization and time management skills; results-oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible with the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and refined priorities
      Salary Range

      Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $87,500.00/Year
