Principal Database Administrator Onsite Location: Aurora, CO Required: TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance No 1099, No third parties, no C2C, No Visas or Green Cards No exceptions (Sorry) W2 Hourly Contract to Hire Only $87.20 - $108.00 per hour based on experience and benefits package GeoLogics is seeking highly qualified, Principal Database Administrator with a TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearanceto join a talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systemsThe successful candidate will provide database administration to high priority infrastructure/systemsQualifications Required--- BS Degree and minimum of 8 years' experience - OR - 16 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.--- Must have a current DOD IAT Level II (minimum) CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC., Security+ CE - Certification or must obtain the certification within the first 60 days of employment.--- Current TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance--- Experience with Solaris and Linux operating systems.
* Experience with Oracle and PostGRES Database Administration--- Experience with Oracle versions 12c and higher--- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and DataGuard--- Experience with RMAN for database backup and recovery
* Experience with SQL, PLSQL, OPatch, database and query tuning--- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities--- Must be a self-starter and team player that is willing to provide support to a variety of tasks and to support unplanned high priority customer activities--- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly communicate with intra-organizational and inter-organizational contacts--- Must possess strong customer service and team skills, proven customer interaction and customer support experience Desired Skills:--- Experience with scripting (sh, csh, bash, Python, perl)--- Experience/exposure with SUN cluster environment--- Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) compliance Responsibilities:--- Database administration of servers in cluster and container environments running a variety of operating systems/applications to include Linux and Solaris.
* Work will include database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts.
* Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on our Oracle and PostGRES databases.
* Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches.
* Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts.
