Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled surgical technologist is needed to support the surgical team in the operating room by assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists. The ideal candidate anticipates the surgeons needs to ensure a smooth, efficient surgical process and maintains all necessary equipment and sterile supplies during procedures. This role requires precision, teamwork, and the ability to manage surgical instruments and related machinery to monitor vital signs. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field in collaboration with nurses and doctors. Hand instruments to the surgeon efficiently, anticipating their needs. Manage surgical equipment setup, transport, retrieval, and inventory. Inspect, decontaminate, and repair surgical tools. Provide pre- and post-operative patient care such as shaving, transport, and dressing application. Ensure all surgical equipment, sterile linens, suction machines, and lights are ready and functional. Qualifications and Desired Experience: NBSTSA certification (must be attached with application). BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached). Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting. Experience working in community hospital environments preferred. Ability to work 8-hour shifts effectively. Candidates must submit required documentation including SSN, DOB, RTR, Vendor Submittal Packet, and facility-specific coversheet as per the application instructions.
