Job Description:
Aquent LLC seeks a Technical Lead in East Moline, Illinois. Duties: Will work directly with stakeholders to gather
requirements and provide technical solutions for Java/J2EE applications. Will
be responsible for the overall architecture and detailed design of
software applications and will work with distributed teams to implement
technical solutions. Will work with managers to ensure conformance to
company standards and address maintainability. Will provide project
estimates, tracking and monitoring. Will develop web applications using
Java frameworks, Java Servlets, JSP, J2EE Design Patterns, Struts
framework, HTML, AJAX, and JavaScript, as well as design and implement J2EE
and Web Services solutions. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Computer
Science or Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
plus 5 years of experience in Java/J2EE software engineering, OR,
alternatively, an Master of Science degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Computer Science or Engineering and 3 years of experience in Java/J2EE
software engineering. Must possess demonstrated expertise developing
software applications using Java technologies such as JDBC,
Multi-Threading, Collections, Servlets, JSP and JSTL; utilizing frameworks
including Hibernate, JUnit and Spring to achieve consistent development;
performing software development using Ant, SVN and Eclipse; performing
database application development and SQL query writing, web development
using Tomcat & Websphere; writing deployment scripts and various utility
scripts using UNIX shell scripting; developing and delivering Java technical
solutions for clients in the financial industry; and interfacing with
client business and IT professionals to gather requirements, and translating
